I’ve always thought there was something so magical about sunrise. The start of a new day, the cool, crisp air, the beautiful skies, the stillness before the rest of the world wakes. A lot of my clients haven’t ever considered sunrise for their family photos, but after trying it once, they’re converted for life. I’m telling you sunrise family photos are the BEST. Not only does the cooler weather provide a comfortable environment for everyone, but littles are often much happier during the morning and are well rested!

The Joys of Texas Weather

The Texas heat and humidity are no joke! Especially during the summer and early fall months, the heat and humidity are almost unbearable. Even during the hottest parts of the summer, my clients are always surprised at how nice it feels early in the morning when we meet. I promise summer months don’t have to be avoided any longer 🙂

Your Sweet Babes

And, of course, let’s talk about your sweet babes. Most of them are early risers, so getting up maybe a taddd bit earlier might make more sense than the possibility of keeping them up well past bedtime. Plus, after a good night’s sleep, they’ll be full of fun energy, and we can capture their silly personalities, adorable smiles, and giggles. Win win!

This sweet family joined me for sunrise family photos, and it was, seriously, THE BEST. Jessica is a fellow photographer in the Austin area, and being trusted to document her family was a true privilege! Her perfectly dressed little ones were as happy as ever, and we were loving the cooler weather. These were their first photos as a family of six, and it was so sweet to watch them explore together.
