There’s nothing like your home, right? Especially after the birth of your baby. Whether this is your first or fourth baby, birth is a beautiful, special, and sacred time in life. Being able to soak in these moments with your favorite people in your favorite place is life-giving. Throughout my years as an Austin newborn photographer, I have seen just how much parents treasure these moments documented in their own homes. There are never time constraints, and we can stop and take all the feeding and changing breaks we need.

Include Your Fur Babies

One of the best reasons to book an in-home newborn storytelling session is that your fur babies are always welcome to join. Have two dogs who love to jump on the bed and share in the cuddles? Perfect. Have a sweet cat who loves to sit on the counters and enjoy the view from afar? ADORABLE. I know how special and important our fur babies are! Lucky for me, I have so many wonderful families who have come to me time and time again and trusted me to document their beautiful growing families. Two years ago, Maddy and I connected when she reached out about a last-minute couple’s session before Michael deployed. I had no idea that, over the years, I’d be lucky enough to document their maternity and newborn storytelling sessions in addition to other special sessions for them. It is truly SO SPECIAL getting to watch families grow, and I just really adore this sweet family! Audrey Julia entered the world and has stolen everyone’s heart!
