It’s always exciting when clients return to me to photograph the next stage of their life!  Caitlin is just weeks away from meeting her second babe, and I had the privilege of meeting her in her Austin, TX home for an in-home maternity session.

While in-home newborn sessions are fairly popular, it’s not as often that a mama-to-be requests the same for a maternity session. It’s too bad because it’s such a great option! We were able to capture some cozy shots of Caitlin and her adorable baby bump at her beautiful home in the hills of Austin. Her son didn’t want to participate and her husband had to work, so she was the star of the show during her session and she rocked it!

I had so much fun with this in-home maternity session!  Caitlin is so down to earth and such a joy to be around.  Just like her Austin home, she’s beautiful inside and out. We did a combo of more casual attire and something slightly more formal to give her a good selection of photos for years to come.  This mama looked amazing in both!  I couldn’t get over the stunning view from her deck. The scenic view combined with a glowing mama-to-be in a gorgeous emerald green dress? Yes, please! Her wardrobe choice flowed perfectly with the setting, and I love that we were able to incorporate the place that baby boy will call home once he arrives.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Caitlin and her sweet little family during our sessions.  It’s an incredible honor to be invited into the lives and homes of my clients for some of their biggest milestones.  It’s an even bigger honor to have the opportunity to photograph their newborns before they even make it home.  I’m thrilled to get to meet Caitlin’s newest addition for newborn photos in the hospital.  It’s such a special, emotional time for families and few things compare to the birth of a sweet little bundle of joy. I’m so excited to meet this little guy!
